FinToss Review & Gameplay Guide

I just spent the last few hours playing FinToss and I've got to say, it's been a wild ride. I went into this game not really knowing what to expect, but the premise of a game all about flipping and tossing fish around sounded weirdly intriguing. The first thing I noticed when I booted up the game was how colorful and vibrant the graphics are - it's like a real-life aquarium in here. The fish are all super detailed and the water effects are pretty impressive, especially considering this is an indie game.

As for the gameplay, it's definitely unique. You play as this guy who's trying to get these fish from one end of the aquarium to the other, and the only way to do it is by flipping and tossing them. It sounds easy, but trust me, it's not. The fish all have different weights and sizes, and the aquarium is full of obstacles like bubbles and seaweed that can throw off your aim. It takes a lot of skill and timing to get the fish to land where you want them to, and it's really satisfying when you finally manage to get one to its destination.

One thing that's kind of annoying is the controls. I'm playing on a PC, and the keyboard and mouse controls feel a bit wonky at times. It's hard to get a good feel for the weight and trajectory of the fish, and sometimes I'll throw one and it'll just go flying off in a completely different direction than I expected. I've heard that the game is more intuitive with a controller, so if you've got one of those, you might want to give it a try. Despite the control issues, though, I've still been having a lot of fun playing FinToss.

As I progressed through the levels, I started to notice that the game gets pretty challenging. The aquarium gets more and more crowded, and the fish get harder and harder to handle. There are also these boss levels where you have to deal with these huge fish that take like three or four tosses to get across the tank. It's pretty intense, but it's also really rewarding when you finally beat a level that's been giving you trouble. I've been playing for hours and I'm still not tired of it, which is definitely a testament to the game's addictive nature.

I do wish there was a bit more variety in the levels, though. After a while, it starts to feel like you're just doing the same thing over and over again. The game could definitely benefit from some more level types or game modes - maybe a time attack mode or a level editor or something. As it stands, the game feels a bit one-note, and I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to keep playing it without getting bored. Still, for what it is, FinToss is a pretty enjoyable game, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something a bit off the beaten path.

Overall, I'd say FinToss is a solid game that's worth checking out if you're looking for something unique and challenging. It's not perfect, and it's definitely got its flaws, but it's a lot of fun to play and it's pretty addictive. With a bit more development and some additional features, I could see FinToss becoming a really standout title in the indie gaming scene. As it stands, it's still a great way to pass the time and have a few laughs - just be prepared for some frustrating moments when the controls don't cooperate.
