I just finished playing Haunted Inn and I have to say, it was a pretty wild ride. I went into it not really knowing what to expect, I'd seen some ads for it on social media and the trailer looked kinda cool, so I thought why not, I'll give it a shot. The game starts off with you playing as this innkeeper who's just inherited this old inn from a distant relative, and right from the get go you can tell something's off. The atmosphere's all creepy and foreboding, and I loved it.

As I started playing, I was struck by how much the game reminded me of some of the old school survival horror games I used to play back in the day. You know, the ones where you're always on edge, never knowing what's gonna jump out at you from around the next corner. Haunted Inn's got that same kind of vibe, and it's really effective at building tension and making you feel like you're always in danger. The sound design's a big part of that, the creaks and groans of the old inn, the howling wind outside, it all combines to create this really immersive experience.

Now, I will say that the gameplay itself's not always the most complex or challenging. You're basically just exploring the inn, collecting items and trying to uncover the mysteries of what's going on. But to be honest, I didn't really mind that. The story's pretty engaging, and I found myself getting really invested in figuring out what was going on and why all these weird things were happening. And the game's got some really nice touches, like the way the environment changes as you progress through the story, or the way the ghosts and other enemies interact with you.

One thing that did bug me a bit was the combat system. It's not really very well fleshed out, and it feels like you're just kind of mashing buttons and hoping for the best. I mean, I get that the game's not really focused on action, but still, it would've been nice to have a bit more depth to the combat. And the bosses, oh man, the bosses can be super frustrating. I died like five times on the first boss, and it was just because the controls felt a bit unresponsive at times. But overall, I wouldn't say that those issues really detracted from my experience with the game.

I think what really makes Haunted Inn stand out is its atmosphere and story. The game's got a really unique and compelling narrative, and the way it's presented is just top notch. The visuals are all pretty great, the character designs are cool, and the voice acting's really well done. And the ending, oh man, the ending's just crazy. I won't give it away, but let's just say it's a real twist. I was not expecting it at all, and it totally changed my perspective on the whole game.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend Haunted Inn to fans of survival horror or just anyone looking for a game with a good story and atmosphere. It's not perfect, but it's a really fun and engaging experience, and I'd say it's definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared for some frustrating moments, and don't expect too much from the combat. But if you're in the mood for something spooky and suspenseful, Haunted Inn's a great choice.
