Merges Numbers Review & Gameplay Guide

I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit skeptical about Merges Numbers when I first downloaded it. I mean, the concept of merging numbers to get a higher score just didn't seem that exciting to me. But, I've been bored at work a lot lately and I needed something to pass the time, so I figured why not give it a shot. The first few levels were pretty basic, just your standard 1-5 numbers merging into 2-10, and I was already thinking about deleting the game. But then I hit level 5 and things started to get a bit more interesting.

The game starts to introduce new elements like frozen numbers that you can't merge, or tiles that are already at their maximum value, which adds a bit of strategy to the game. You have to think ahead and plan your moves carefully, which I actually found kind of enjoyable. The levels also start to get progressively harder, with some levels having multiple goals, like merging a certain number of tiles or getting a specific score. It's not rocket science, but it's enough to keep you engaged. I found myself playing for hours, trying to beat each level and unlock the next one.

One thing I will say is that the game can get a bit repetitive after a while. I mean, you're essentially doing the same thing over and over again, just with slightly different numbers and goals. But, I think that's kind of the point of the game. It's not meant to be some super complex, storyline-driven experience. It's just a casual game that you can pick up and play for a few minutes, or a few hours, whenever you feel like it. And in that sense, I think Merges Numbers succeeds. It's a great game to play when you're waiting in line, or on your lunch break, or just need a quick distraction.

The graphics and sound effects in the game are also pretty decent. The numbers are clear and easy to read, and the merging animations are smooth and satisfying. The sound effects are also pretty nice, with a nice "pop" sound when you merge two numbers together. It's not anything fancy, but it gets the job done. My only complaint is that the music can get a bit annoying after a while. It's this weird, electronic tune that just kind of repeats over and over again. I ended up turning it off after a few hours of playtime.

Overall, I'd say Merges Numbers is a solid game. It's not going to win any awards for originality or complexity, but it's a fun way to pass the time. If you're looking for a casual game that you can play in short bursts, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Just don't expect too much in terms of depth or storyline, and you'll be fine. I've already recommended it to a few of my friends, and I'm sure I'll be playing it for a while longer.

I'm actually kind of curious to see how far I can get in the game, and what kind of challenges the later levels will bring. The game has a leaderboard system, where you can compete with other players to get the highest score, which adds a bit of replay value. I'm not sure if I'll ever get to the top of the leaderboard, but it's definitely something to strive for. Anyway, if you're looking for a new game to play, I'd say give Merges Numbers a shot. It's free, so you've got nothing to lose, and it's definitely worth a try.
