I just spent the last few days playing Niche Shift and I've got to say, it's been a wild ride. I went into this game not really knowing what to expect, I'd seen some trailers and gameplay videos, but I wasn't sure if it was going to be my cup of tea. The premise of the game is pretty interesting, you play as a creature that's trying to survive in a world that's constantly changing, and you've got to adapt to these changes in order to make it through. The way the environment changes and adapts to your actions, the way the different creatures interact with each other, it's all really well done. I also loved the sense of discovery, there are all these hidden secrets and areas that you can find, and it's really rewarding when you stumble upon something new. The game also has a pretty active community, I've seen a lot of people sharing their own strategies and tips online, which is great to see.

Overall, I'd say that Niche Shift is a game that's definitely worth checking out. It's not perfect, but it's got a lot of heart, and it's clear that the developers are passionate about what they're doing. If you're a fan of survival games or just looking for something a bit different, then I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Just be prepared to die a lot, and don't get too frustrated if you don't pick it up right away. With a bit of patience and practice, you'll be adapting to the changing world in no time.

I'm excited to see where the developers take the game from here, there's definitely a lot of potential for expansion and growth. I'd love to see more creatures, more environments, and maybe even some multiplayer options. But even as it stands, Niche Shift is a game that's well worth playing. It's a unique and challenging experience that's sure to keep you on the edge of your seat, and it's definitely a game that I'll be coming back to again and again.
