Nivra Review & Gameplay Guide
I just spent the last few hours playing Nivra and I have to say, it's been a bit of a wild ride. I wasn't really sure what to expect going in, the game's trailer had caught my eye a few weeks ago and I'd been looking forward to trying it out ever since. The gameplay seems simple enough at first, you control this little creature as it navigates through a series of increasingly difficult levels, but trust me, it's not as easy as it sounds.
One of the things that really stood out to me about Nivra is its visuals. The game has this really unique, hand-drawn style that's both beautiful and unsettling at the same time. The levels are all really well designed, with a great sense of flow and some cleverly hidden secrets and paths to discover. The sound design is also top-notch, the music and sound effects all work together to create this really immersive atmosphere that draws you in and keeps you playing.
But as much as I've enjoyed playing Nivra, I do have to say that the difficulty curve can be a bit steep at times. I found myself getting stuck on certain levels for a while, and it was frustrating to have to repeat the same section over and over again. That being said, the sense of satisfaction you get from finally beating a tough level is definitely worth it. The game also has a really strong focus on exploration and discovery, which I appreciated. You're encouraged to experiment and try new things, and the game rewards you for taking risks and trying out different approaches.
Despite its challenges, I found myself really getting into the rhythm of Nivra. The game has a way of sucking you in and making you feel like you're completely in the zone. I played for hours without even realizing it, and before I knew it the sun had set and I was getting hungry. The game's also got a really strong sense of progression, you can see your character getting stronger and more capable as you progress through the levels, which is really motivating.
One thing that I'm not entirely sure about is the game's story. To be honest, I'm still not really sure what's going on or what the ultimate goal is. The game doesn't really give you much in the way of context or explanation, you're just kind of dropped into this world and expected to figure things out for yourself. It's not necessarily a bad thing, the mystery can be kind of intriguing, but at the same time I found myself wishing for a bit more guidance or direction at times.
Overall, I'd say that Nivra is definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of challenging platformers or just looking for something a bit different. It's not a game for the faint of heart, but if you're up for the challenge, it can be really rewarding. I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of the game plays out, and I'm excited to dive back in and see what other secrets and surprises Nivra has in store.
