SPLIT Review & Gameplay Guide

I just spent the last few hours playing SPLIT and I've got to say, it's been a wild ride. I wasn't really sure what to expect when I started, I'd seen a few videos online and thought the concept looked cool, but I didn't know if it would actually be any good. The game's all about, well, splitting, basically. You've got this character that can split themselves into two separate entities, and you've got to use that ability to solve puzzles and progress through the levels.

At first, it was a bit of a mind-bender, getting used to controlling two characters at once. It's not as easy as it sounds, let me tell you. You've got to be able to think ahead and coordinate your movements, or you'll end up getting stuck or worse, killing one of your split selves. But once I got the hang of it, it started to feel really natural, and I was able to tackle the puzzles with ease. The levels are all pretty short, which is good because it means you can play in short bursts if you want to, but it also means that the game can feel a bit disjointed at times.

The graphics and sound design in SPLIT are top-notch, I've got to say. The game's got this really cool, minimalist aesthetic that works perfectly for the type of gameplay they're going for. The soundtrack is also really catchy, it's this electronic, pulsing beat that gets stuck in your head and makes you want to keep playing. One thing that did bug me a bit was the lack of a narrative, I mean, I'm not saying I need a super complex story or anything, but it would be nice to have some idea of what's going on and why I'm splitting myself all the time.

As I played through the game, I started to notice that the difficulty level can be a bit all over the place. Some levels are really easy, and you can just breeze through them, while others are super tough and require a lot of trial and error. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it can be a bit frustrating when you're stuck on a level for a while and you feel like you're not making any progress. I also encountered a few glitches here and there, nothing game-breaking, but it's always annoying when things don't work quite right.

Despite a few minor issues, I'm really enjoying SPLIT so far. It's a unique and challenging game that's perfect for puzzle fans, and the split mechanic is really cool. I'm not sure how much replay value it's going to have, but for now, I'm happy to keep playing and see what other challenges the game has in store for me. If you're looking for something a bit different, I'd definitely recommend giving SPLIT a try. Just be prepared to get frustrated at times, because it's not always easy.

Overall, I'd say SPLIT is a great addition to any gamer's library. It's not perfect, but it's a fun and challenging game that's definitely worth playing. With a bit more polish and maybe some additional content, it could be really something special. As it stands, it's still a great game that's worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of puzzle games or just looking for something new and different to play.
