Stick Hero Battle Review & Gameplay Guide
I just spent the last few hours playing Stick Hero Battle and I have to say, it's been a wild ride. I mean, who wouldn't want to play as a stick figure, running around and battling it out with other stick figures? It sounds stupid, but trust me, it's actually kind of addicting. The game's got this really simple, intuitive control scheme that makes it easy to pick up and play, but hard to master. You've just got a few buttons to worry about, so you can focus on the action.
One thing I'll say is that the game's got a lot of potential. The levels are all pretty short, so it's easy to just jump in and play for a few minutes at a time. And the graphics, while not exactly mind-blowing, have this weird, charming quality to them. I mean, the stick figures are all just little guys with different hats and stuff, but it's actually kind of cute. And the levels themselves are all pretty well-designed, with these little obstacles and challenges that you've got to overcome. It's not exactly rocket science, but it's fun.
But, I've got to say, the game's not without its flaws. For one thing, it gets pretty repetitive after a while. I mean, you're just doing the same thing over and over again - running, jumping, battling. And the enemies all start to feel kind of same-y after a while. I mean, sure, they've got different hats and stuff, but they all just kind of feel like the same old stick figure. And don't even get me started on the power-ups. I mean, they're supposed to be this big deal, but really, they just feel like a way to make the game a little easier. I mean, who needs a power-up when you've just got to mash the attack button over and over again?
I'm also a little disappointed in the lack of a real storyline. I mean, I know it's just a stick figure game, but come on, a little narrative would be nice. As it is, you're just kind of thrown into the game with no real context or motivation. You're just a stick figure, fighting other stick figures. Why? What's the point of it all? I mean, I know it's not supposed to be this deep, thought-provoking game, but a little something would be nice. And the sound design's not exactly great either. I mean, the music's just this annoying, repetitive tune that gets stuck in your head, and the sound effects are all just kind of... there.
Despite all its flaws, though, I've got to say that I'm still having a pretty good time with Stick Hero Battle. It's just one of those games that's easy to pick up and play, you know? And it's not like it's trying to be this huge, Triple-A game or anything. It's just a simple, little stick figure game, and it knows it. So, if you're looking for something to just kind of waste some time with, I'd say give it a shot. Just don't expect too much, you know? It's not going to blow your mind or anything, but it's a fun little way to kill some time.
Overall, I'd say Stick Hero Battle's a solid little game. It's not perfect, but it's got its charms. And hey, even with all its flaws, I'm still playing it. So, if you're a fan of simple, mindless action games, you might want to check it out. Just don't say I didn't warn you - it can get pretty repetitive, and the lack of a real storyline's kind of a bummer. But hey, if you're just looking for something to play, I'd say give it a shot. You might be surprised at how much fun you have with it.
