Street Fight : Beat Em Up Review & Gameplay Guide
I just spent the last few hours playing Street Fight: Beat Em Up and I've got to say, it's been a wild ride. I've always been a fan of classic beat em ups, and this game definitely delivers on that front. The controls are simple, but they get the job done - you've got your standard punch and kick buttons, as well as a few special moves that you can pull off with a bit of button-mashing. It's not exactly complicated, but it's definitely fun.
One thing that really stood out to me was the graphics. I was a bit skeptical at first, I mean, the game's not exactly a AAA title, but the developers have done a great job of creating a visually appealing game. The characters are all unique and well-designed, and the backgrounds are detailed and varied. It's not going to win any awards for best graphics or anything, but it's definitely a step above what I was expecting.
The gameplay is where Street Fight: Beat Em Up really shines, though. It's just a ton of fun to play - the levels are all relatively short, but they're packed with enemies and obstacles to overcome. You've got to fight your way through hordes of bad guys, avoid traps and pitfalls, and take down bosses at the end of each level. It's not exactly easy, either - I found myself dying a bunch of times, especially on the later levels. But it's one of those games where you just want to keep playing, you know? You die, and you're like "oh, I can do better than that", and then you jump right back in.
Now, I do have to say that the game's not without its flaws. For one thing, it can get a bit repetitive - you're basically just fighting the same enemies over and over, with the occasional boss fight to mix things up. And the story's not exactly deep or anything - it's your standard "bad guys are taking over the city, you've got to stop them" kind of deal. But you know what? I didn't really care. I was just having too much fun playing the game to worry about that stuff.
I also appreciate that the game's not too long - I was able to beat it in a few hours, which is just about right for a game like this. I mean, it's not like it's trying to be some epic, 50-hour RPG or anything. It's just a simple, fun beat em up, and it knows exactly what it is. And at the price point it's at, I think it's definitely worth checking out. If you're a fan of classic games like Final Fight or Double Dragon, you'll probably get a kick out of Street Fight: Beat Em Up.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend Street Fight: Beat Em Up to anyone who's looking for a fun, lighthearted gaming experience. It's not going to change the world or anything, but it's just a really enjoyable game to play. And who knows, you might even find yourself coming back to it again and again - I know I will. So if you're in the mood for something a bit old-school, give Street Fight: Beat Em Up a shot. I think you'll be glad you did.
