Underwater Blast Review & Gameplay Guide
I just spent the last few hours playing Underwater Blast and I've got to say, it's been a wild ride. I mean, the name of the game is pretty on point - it's all about blowing stuff up underwater. The graphics are actually really nice, the ocean environments are super detailed and the explosions look amazing. I found myself just blowing things up for the sake of it, just to see how cool it would look. The sound design is also worth mentioning, the sound of the explosions and the sonar beeps really add to the overall experience.
The gameplay is pretty straightforward, you control a submarine that can move around and shoot missiles at enemy subs and sea creatures. It's not super complicated, but it's pretty fun. The levels get progressively harder as you go on, with more and more enemies showing up and the submarine getting damaged more easily. I did find myself getting a bit frustrated at times, especially when I'd get hit by a stray missile and have to start all over again. But overall, the gameplay is solid and it's definitely a fun way to pass the time.
One thing that I didn't expect from Underwater Blast was the variety of power-ups and upgrades you can get. As you complete levels, you earn points that you can use to upgrade your submarine, get better missiles, or even unlock new subs. It's actually pretty cool, and it adds a whole new layer of strategy to the game. Do you spend your points on upgrading your health, or do you go for the more powerful missiles? It's a tough choice, but it's definitely worth thinking about.
I do have to say, though, that the game can get a bit repetitive at times. I mean, you're basically doing the same thing over and over again - blowing up enemy subs and avoiding getting hit. It's fun at first, but after a while, it starts to get a bit old. I also wish there were more levels, or at least more variety in the levels. It feels like you're just playing the same level over and over again, with the only difference being the number of enemies. Still, it's not a huge deal, and the game is still plenty fun.
Despite its flaws, I'd definitely recommend Underwater Blast to anyone who's a fan of action games or just wants something fun to play. It's not going to win any awards for originality or complexity, but it's a solid, fun game that's worth checking out. And at the price point it's at, it's definitely worth the cost. I've had more fun playing Underwater Blast than I have with some more expensive games, so that's definitely saying something.
Overall, I'm glad I gave Underwater Blast a shot. It's not perfect, but it's a fun game that's worth playing. If you're looking for something to pass the time, or just want to blow some stuff up, then Underwater Blast is definitely the game for you. Just be prepared for a bit of repetition, and you'll be golden. I'm looking forward to seeing what the developers come out with next, and I'm hoping they'll take some of the criticisms to heart and make an even better game.
