Zombie Street Fighter Review & Gameplay Guide

I just spent the last few days playing through Zombie Street Fighter, and I've got to say, it's been a real mixed bag for me. On the one hand, I love the idea of taking the classic Street Fighter formula and adding a zombie twist to it. I mean, who doesn't love a good zombie game, right? The problem is, it feels like the developers didn't quite know how to balance the two elements, and it ends up feeling like two separate games that don't really mesh together.

The Street Fighter part of the game is solid, I'll give them that. The controls are tight, the characters are all there, and the special moves are just as tricky to pull off as they've always been. But then you throw in the zombies, and things start to get a little weird. The zombies are just kind of... there, I guess. They're not really a major part of the gameplay, they're just kind of a nuisance that you have to deal with in between fights. And sometimes, they're not even that - sometimes they're just kind of standing around in the background, looking all zombie-like.

I think my biggest problem with the game is that it doesn't really know what it wants to be. Is it a Street Fighter game with zombies, or is it a zombie game with Street Fighter elements? Because right now, it feels like it's trying to be both, and it's not really succeeding at either. The zombie apocalypse setting is cool and all, but it's not like it really adds anything new to the gameplay. You're still just fighting the same old characters, in the same old arenas, with the same old special moves. It's just... zombies are there now, I guess.

That being said, I did have some fun with the game. Like I said, the Street Fighter part of it is solid, and there are some really cool zombie-themed characters that you can play as. The new character, Zombie Chun-Li, is actually really cool - she's got all these gnarly zombie powers that are a lot of fun to play around with. And the game's got a pretty cool soundtrack, too. It's all this weird, pulsing electronic music that's just perfect for fighting zombies to. So, it's not all bad, I guess.

But overall, I'd say that Zombie Street Fighter is just an okay game. It's not bad, but it's not great either. If you're a huge Street Fighter fan, you might get some enjoyment out of it, but if you're looking for a really good zombie game, you might want to look elsewhere. I mean, it's not like it's a bad game or anything, it's just... it's not really sure what it wants to be, you know? And that kind of indecision can make for a pretty mediocre gaming experience.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that Zombie Street Fighter is a game that's worth checking out if you're a fan of either Street Fighter or zombies, but it's not a game that's going to blow your mind or anything. It's just kind of... there, I guess. It's a thing that exists, and if you're bored and looking for something to play, you could do worse. But if you're looking for a really great gaming experience, you might want to look elsewhere.
